A rare combination Vinaigrette/Etui, London 1869 by Thomas Johnson. The large egg shaped body is suspended in a horseshoe pivot with suspension loop. The etui is fitted for pins/needles and containing a silver bobbin with tape measure. ( The first 3 inches are missing.) Fully hallmarked on lip. Large lid, small lid & removable grill each marked with maker's mark, date letter & lion passant.
