A fine large Lidded Jug, London 1789 by Robert Hennell. The body comprising of 12 panels with alternating brightcut and plain areas. The foot shaped to match. Engraved with initials within a brightcut oval. Fully marked on the foot, maker's mark & lion passant on lid. Height: 17.5cms. Width: 15cms. Weight: 10.7ozs(AV)/304gms. It is very rare and unusual to find a jug of this design and period with a fitted original lid.
